We assist adults with a variety of skills that helps to make them ‘work ready’. In addition to our Health and Safety and Work Smart modules, we also deliver Functional Skills; English, Maths and ICT to develop reading and writing skills, as well as gaining confidence with speaking and listening.
Our ESOL courses are delivered by qualified teachers and bilingual volunteers, supporting integration within the Bradford District.
Through Adult Community Learning, Safety First Community Training Centre assists unemployed adults with developing their computer skills, searching for a job and working with Job Centre Plus’ Find a Job system.
Safety First’s Life in the UK course is delivered by qualified ESOL tutors and is set over eight 2-hour sessions. The course will cover topics in the current Home Office Life in the UK manual and help with computer based multiple choice questions.
We are working with adults who have been the victims of human trafficking and modern slavery. Many of the victims of domestic violence and human trafficking/modern slavery come from countries that do not speak English.
